Who we are

RBXMods (“we”, “us”) runs the website rbxmods.com, a place for Roblox game guides, tips and codes. RBXMods is an independent fan site. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. You can reach us at support@rbxmods.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: username, email address and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form, never as plain text.
• Profile information: an optional profile picture, cover image and bio.
• Content and messages: comments, replies, reports, and anything you send through our contact form, including files you attach to a DMCA notice.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit.
• Login records: when you log in we record your IP address, approximate city and country, device and browser. We use this to protect accounts and detect abuse.
• Security and abuse logs: we log requests (including bot activity) so we can block spam, scraping and attacks. We also use IP addresses to count likes and views once per visitor.

How we use your information

• to create and run your account and the features you use
• to keep the site secure, prevent spam and enforce our rules
• to understand how the site is used and improve our guides
• to show advertising that helps pay for the site
• to answer your messages and handle legal requests such as DMCA notices

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on: contract (to run your account), legitimate interests (security, fraud and abuse prevention, basic site statistics) and consent (advertising and analytics cookies, which you can accept or refuse in the consent message and change at any time).

Advertising: Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this and other websites. Analytics: Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic, such as which guides are read and how visitors find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data like your IP address (shortened or anonymized where applicable), browser and pages visited. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Who we share data with

We do not sell the personal information you give us. We share data only with:

• Google (AdSense and Analytics), as described above.
• A location lookup service (ip-api.com): when you log in, your IP address is sent to it to find your approximate city and country for the login record.
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf to run the site.
• Authorities or rights holders when the law requires it, or to protect our users and site.

Links on our pages to YouTube, Discord, Roblox and other sites lead to services with their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

We keep account information while your account exists. Login records, security logs and messages are kept for as long as needed for security, abuse prevention and legal reasons, and are then deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict some uses, to take your data with you, and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents have similar rights; we do not sell personal information we collect from you. To use any right, email support@rbxmods.com from the address on your account. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Many Roblox players are young. RBXMods is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or send us personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect data with measures such as hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never share it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For major changes we will make the update clear on the site.
